ANADIGICS Expands DOCSIS 3.1 Infrastructure Amplifier Portfolio

WARREN, N.J., Oct. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq:ANAD) (“ANADIGICS” or the “Company”), a world leader in radio frequency (RF) solutions, today introduced six new surface mount line amplifiers optimized for DOCSIS 3.1 applications.  The Company’s portfolio of DOCSIS 3.1 products includes line amplifiers, reverse path amplifiers, edge QAM amplifiers, and gain blocks.  These solutions have set the standard for both performance and reliability, helping MSOs achieve optimal system performance across a variety of network architectures and applications.

“Our expansive portfolio of industry-leading CATV infrastructure solutions is helping to pave the way to advanced DOCSIS 3.1 services,” said Tim Laverick, senior vice president of Infrastructure Products at ANADIGICS.  “With outstanding output power, best-in-class linearity, and exceptional efficiency, our CATV infrastructure products enable MSOs to reliably and economically deliver ultra high data speeds to subscribers.”

ANADIGICS’ DOCSIS 3.1 line amplifiers combine the Company’s proven MESFET and proprietary high-linearity pHEMT technologies with a GaN output stage (power doublers only) to deliver outstanding performance and reliability in CATV infrastructure applications.  The new ACA2416, ACA2419, ACA2454, ACA2457, ACA2458, and ACA2463 all offer exceptional composite triple beat (CTB), composite second order (CSO), cross modulation, carrier-to-intermodulation noise (CIN), modulation-error ratio (MER), and bit-error ratio (BER) characteristics for optimal performance in a fully-loaded spectrum.

The ACA2458 joins the ACA2456, ACA4741, and ACA4788 in the new 4X class product family.  These solutions offer four times the power of first generation GaN line amplifiers.  This exceptional power, coupled with other outstanding performance characteristics, enables Node+0 system architectures without active components downstream of the fiber or R-MACPHY node.

ANADIGICS DOCSIS 3.1 CATV Infrastructure Solutions Key Facts and Highlights:

  • Complete portfolio of CATV infrastructure products to support the expected industry transition to DOCSIS 3.1
  • Proven designs with the industry’s lowest field-failure rates to minimize service disruptions and costly truck rolls
  • World-class performance to ensure quality of service in a fully-loaded spectrum
