SAN JOSE, Calif. & TAIPEI, Taiwan — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 1, 2015GCT® Semiconductor, a leading designer and supplier of advanced 4G mobile semiconductor solutions, today announced that its advanced LTE chip GDM7243M powers the new 4G LTE home router, the URoad-Home 2+, developed by Modacom, a leading router provider, and was recently launched by UQ Communications (UQ) in Japan. The new home router, ideal for use as a residential home gateway, is optimized for use on UQ’s TDD-LTE-compliant network, and supports 110 Mbps downlink. GCT’s market-proven chip, GDM7243M, supports Category 4 FDD/TDD-LTE and was fully certified by KDDI in July 2014.
