Exceptions Toolbox (ET) unleashes the true power of formal analysis combined with proprietary Excellicon’s patent pending algorithms to validate both structural and timing intent based FP and MCP's for both for RTL and Gates.
Majority of the exceptions in a timing constraints files are what is considered timing-intent exceptions, more than 80% of the exceptions are of timing intent type. This class of exceptions are based on designers intent capturing the designer knowhow and impossible to verify with existing tools.
“Existing constraints verification tools can only verify and/or generate structural exceptions using formal algorithms. Timing intent exceptions cannot be verified using formal algorithms.
