Combination of SOS for Cadence Virtuoso and Visual Design Diff improves collaboration and makes design reviews more effective
FREMONT, Calif., May 1, 2015 – INVECAS Inc., a newly-formed design services company that brings together high-speed analog intellectual property (IP), foundation IP, ASIC design and embedded software expertise under one roof, has deployed ClioSoft SOS and Visual Design Diff (VDD) worldwide. INVECAS is focused on accelerating customer introduction of new products on leading-edge semiconductor process technologies. The company has recently announced a partnership with GLOBALFOUNDRIES, a leading provider of advanced semiconductor manufacturing, design and technology solutions, to operate multiple system-on-chip (SoC) design service centers in both the United States and India to provide exclusive support for GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ customers.
ClioSoft Inc. is a leader in SoC design management solutions for the semiconductor design industry. SOS from ClioSoft provides an integrated SoC design data and IP management solution for the Cadence® Virtuoso® Platform. ClioSoft’s VDD allows users to quickly compare two versions of a schematic or layout by graphically highlighting the differences directly in the design editor.
Designers in INVECAS’ integrated circuit (IC) design group have used the ClioSoft SOS platform in previous companies and had a very positive experience with the technology, its robustness, and dedicated support. As Dasaradha Gude, CEO of INVECAS said, “Apart from the obvious advantage of design groups from different parts of the world being able to collaborate on a single project by using the SOS hardware configuration platform, VDD enables us to manage ECOs better by letting us see changes in layout and schematic across different versions directly in Virtuoso and Composer windows. We look forward to working with ClioSoft.”
“INVECAS, which plans to staff up to more than 600 engineers in development centers in the USA and India, is going to be a company to watch,” said Ranjit Adhikary, director of marketing at ClioSoft. “It’s always a pleasure to work with previous SOS customers and we look forward to making a contribution to INVECAS’ growth.”
ClioSoft is the premier developer of hardware configuration management (HCM) solutions for digital, analog, RF and mixed-signal designs. The company's SOS Design Collaboration Platform is built to handle the complex requirements of system-on-chip (digital, analog, and mixed-signal) design flows. The SOS platform provides a sophisticated multi-site development environment that enables global team collaboration and efficient management of design data from concept through tape-out along with an enterprise IP management and design reuse solution. SOS is integrated with leading design flows –Cadence’s Virtuoso® technology, Keysight Technologies’ Advanced Design System (ADS), Mentor Graphic’s Pyxis Custom IC Design, Synopsys’ Galaxy Custom Designer® and Laker3™ Custom Design.
