Choosing the right content for the viewer watching the screen is the holy grail of digital signage. IAdea developed a system based on the Intel® Open Pluggable Specification to enable Responsive Signage, or digital signage that plays in response to the viewer's shopping journey pattern. The EL-10-based player is connected to an array of IAdea's ArrFi™ sensors which collect radio signals emitted by the shoppers' mobile phones. While conventional Android-based devices may suffice for simple media playback, the device based on Intel® Reference Design for Digital Signage (EL-10) provides additional computing power to enable real-time analytics and personalization of digital signage content at the edge. This allows for innovative applications with significant cost savings over conventional architecture.
