The Petal: Virtual Reality Fan - The Air is Real

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., June 19, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  Windustries LLC today announces the release of the world's first virtual reality fan.  The Petal Fan combines a new dimension of reality to bring gaming to the next level.

Petal: Fan that syncs with Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is becoming even more real with the introduction of the new immersive technology Petal Fan.  Petal Fan is the first portable fan that responds dynamically to virtual game effects simulating the feeling of airflow one would expect in the real world. From a soft tropical breeze blowing through a person's hair while surfing a wave or a hurricane force while fighting an enemy army, Petal Fan enhances the virtual reality experience.  While most virtual reality gaming is only visual and auditory, Petal Fan adds a tactile experience through the power of air.

Petal Fan uses the latest in advanced technologies to integrate into and enhance virtual reality experiences.  The utilization of open source software allows developers and inventors to incorporate Petal Fan into their own virtual reality systems and software.

"We are bringing virtual reality one step closer to becoming indistinguishable from reality.  This is the first technology of its kind that brings the touch sense to the virtual reality ecosystem for the average user," stated Andrew London, inventor of Petal Fan.

Petal Fan is being brought to market using crowd funding through Kickstarter.
