Heart of Technology will host the HOT Zone as a sponsor of the 50th Celebration Event of DAC, which takes place the same week in Austin. Grammy Award winning band, Asleep at the Wheel, kicks-off the party followed by Heart of Technology founder Jim Hogan's band, Vista Roads. The evening closes out with the Stratocaster sound of the Texas Terraplanes. An array of food will be served on skewers, including special Texas-style favorites and late night breakfast buffet.
"Leadership has many metrics, but sharing success with those in need defines the greatest virtue of them all. Jim Hogan's Heart of Technology fundraiser, and the numerous EDA co-sponsors that support this great cause, are to be recognized as true leaders. Si2 appreciates the opportunity to join them, adding our support for CASA's at-risk children right here in our home town of Austin," said Si2 President and CEO Steve Schulz. Si2 is an Austin-based organization composed of nearly 100 industry-leading semiconductor, systems, EDA and manufacturing companies.
Several companies in Austin and the San Jose, CA, Silicon Valley, have come together to lend their support of the event. Sponsors include Atrenta, Ausdia, ChipEstimate.TV, CLK Design Automation, Cronox Group, EDA Consortium, IC Manage, Invarian, Jim Hogan LLC, Mod Marketing, Nimbic, Pro Plus Solutions, Shocking Technologies, Si2, Solido, Sonics, Tela Innovations, Uniquify, Verilab, and Waves Studio. About CASA of Travis County
CASA of Travis County speaks up for children who've been abused or neglected by empowering our community to volunteer as advocates for them in the court system. When the state steps in to protect a child's safety, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to make independent and informed recommendations in the child's best interest. After 33 hours of intensive training, background checks and being sworn-in by a judge, volunteers are appointed to a child or family of children and spend an average of 20 hours a month advocating for these children for at least a year. Created in 1985, CASA of Travis County is now one of the top ten CASA programs in the nation, supporting more than 550 volunteers who advocate for at least 1,500 children a year.
