Rocketick Adds James Hogan, a Semiconductor Industry Veteran and EDA visionary and luminary to Advisory Board

May 22, 2013 -- SAN JOSE Calif. – Rocketick Technologies Ltd., an emerging EDA company focused on GPU-based Simulation Acceleration today announced that James Hogan has joined its Advisory Board, bringing decades of experience in the semiconductor, electronic design automation (EDA) and venture capitalist industries.

Hogan, well-known for his visionary and creative ideas on EDA technology and business models, joins an innovative group of board and management team members including: Chairman Avi Fried, CEO Uri Tal, CTO Shay Mizrachi, VP of Engineering Tomer Ben-David and VP of Business Development Arklin Kee.

"Jim joins our vision of accelerating EDA applications on massive multi-core computation platforms" said Uri Tal, CEO of Rocketick "Jim will be an active member of our team, advising management on critical strategy, fundraising, personnel and other issues that are critical to the success of Rocketick at this stage of our company growth and direction."

Hogan has worked in the semiconductor industry for more than 30 years with a very impressive successful track record of directing market-changing strategies for pioneering companies. His experience includes time as a senior executive in EDA, semiconductor equipment, semiconductor intellectual property and fabrication companies. Jim sits on several boards involved in the semiconductor process, design and manufacturing industries driving innovation and strategic change significantly improving the EDA, Semiconductor and fabrication landscapes.

"SoC design verification is a problem without many limits in many ways.  When do you actually have enough?  That question has been limited to time, software licenses and hardware running them than actually answering the question.  I’ve been looking at companies that offer a scalable simulation technology.  Rocketick, I believe has created an innovative technology for simulation acceleration by orders of magnitude.  Interestingly the value proposition of faster generally yields better results too.  I believe there is a new value proposition that we can apply to the use of Rocketick as well and that is power reduction in running the simulations" said Hogan. "I look forward to working with Uri and his team, in creating a company that will change the way we do simulation and verification."
