Video: Real Intent Opens Central U.S. Sales & Support Office to Meet Demand for its Advanced Verification Solutions

Taps semiconductor industry veteran Charles “Chad” Chadwell to head sales operations and technical expert James Moore to head support operations in Austin, Texas

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – May 7, 2013 Real Intent, Inc., a leading provider of EDA software solutions that accelerate electronic design sign-off, eliminate complex failures in SoCs, and lead the market in performance, capacity, accuracy and completeness today announced it has expanded its U.S. sales in the Central Region to handle growing demand for its Ascent™ and Meridian™ tools.  Located in Austin, Texas, the new office will be headed by 30-year semiconductor/EDA industry veteran Charles “Chad” Chadwell for sales support, and James Moore for technical support, whose experience spans more than a decade.

Chad’s broad expertise covers sales, business development, consulting and engineering. For several years prior to joining Real Intent, he ran CHC Consulting, a firm he founded to handle sales and business development for software applications and systems used to develop hi-tech products. Previously, he held sales and business development positions at EDATechForce, XtremeEDA, LogicVision, Tharas Systems, Mentor Graphics and Quickturn Design Systems. Chad began his career in software at TI. He holds a Master of Science degree in technology commercialization (MBA) from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Round Rock ISD.

James’ proven track record for creating quality solutions in all phases of hardware design extends from concept through delivery and support. He joined Real Intent as a Field Application Engineer after a decade at AMD. Serving there in multiple design engineering capacities, he gained extensive skill in digital design, FPGAs and RTL design. A University of Texas Engineering Scholar and graduate with multiple honors, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering.

According to Hamed Emami, VP Worldwide Sales at Real Intent, “We are pleased to be able to serve our fast-growing customer base in the central U.S. with regional sales and technical support, and further pleased that Chad and James are overseeing this effort. They thoroughly understand the needs of our customers from both the engineering and support perspectives. Chad’s business development acumen and James’ technical expertise, along with the deep commitment they share to serving customers, make them highly valued additions to the Real Intent team.” For additional comments from Hamed, please watch a video interview here.

Chad said, “Joining Real Intent is an exciting opportunity and a logical next step for me. With its best-in-class Ascent and Meridian verification solutions, Real Intent achieved 100-percent business growth last year, mainly due to high customer and partner satisfaction and referrals. I look forward to building on that significant growth curve by bringing dramatic performance enhancements to SoC design teams in the central region.”

James added, “Our customers in the central U.S are using Ascent and Meridian verification solutions in diverse engineering arenas for complex and critical applications – some of which are full-chip designs larger than 100-million gates. It’s a privilege to support these design teams with broad-based expertise, and the same high level of service and quality our products themselves are known for.”

About Real Intent Products

Real Intent offers the Ascent product family for early functional verification before synthesis; and the Meridian product family for advanced sign-off verification not possible with simulation or static timing analysis.

  • Ascent Lint is the industry’s fastest and lowest-noise RTL lint solution.
  • Ascent Implied Intent Verification (IIV) automatically finds elusive bugs in RTL to improve verification efficiency substantially and detect up to 50-percent of design functional errors prior to testbench development and simulation.
  • Ascent X-Verification System (XV) detects and isolates X-propagation issues early, in Verilog RTL, eliminating costly, painful gate-level debug, and preventing hidden functional bugs from slipping through to silicon.
  • Meridian CDC is the fastest, highest capacity and most precise CDC solution in the market, and the only solution that enables all aspects of CDC sign-off.
  • Meridian Constraints is the best-in-class comprehensive constraint management solution in the market.
