imX – interactive manufacturing eXperience Set for Nov. 18 -20 in Las Vegas MAG IAS and Makino Inc. to Participate as imX eXperience Partners

March 27, 2013 - McLean, Vir. . . . imX – interactive manufacturing eXperience will be held Nov. 18-20, 2013, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. imX is an innovative educational event for the manufacturing community centered on learning and collaboration. Manufacturing technology industry leaders MAG IAS and Makino, Inc. headline the event as eXperience Partners.

“Our community makes it clear that educational events are essential as manufacturing moves ahead. Our imX eXperience partners provide the educational foundation for the imX community through in-depth Learning Lab presentations during the event,” explains Peter Eelman, AMT Vice President – Exhibitions and Communications. “Both MAG and Makino are recognized as thought and brand leaders in their respective areas of manufacturing and they will bring that innovation to imX with educational offerings that address critical topics relevant to the manufacturing industry. We expect several more eXperience Partners to join MAG and Makino in the near future.”

The inaugural 2011 imX event drew more than 3,000 eXecutive manufacturing attendees who attended 72 Knowledge Bar sessions and 180 Learning Lab sessions.

The 2013 imX concept marks the beginning of a new platform for an event that meets needs both attendees and exhibitors have stated are important. imX answers the call for a regional, manufacturing technology event that provides a forum for attendees to learn something they have not or will not learn elsewhere, along with intense one-on-one time with engineers and experts. Those who take advantage of what imX offers will gain a competitive edge by keeping up with trends, evaluating new product developments, absorbing technical know-how having the opportunity to make in-depth comparisons of technology solutions.

Exhibitors will enjoy an intimate environment in which they can showcase their brands, build product awareness and focus on forging deep, meaningful relationships with technology end-users.

“At Makino, we look forward to being an eXperience Partner at imX later this year,” says Makino CEO Donald Lane. “imX is a unique event, designed to create opportunities for us to spend more time in meaningful dialog with customers. We certainly accomplished that in 2011 where focus was the key ingredient for us - focus on learning and focus on the customer. We believe that the continuing strength of U.S. manufacturing will be led by events like imX.”

MAG President Daniel Janka comments that MAG was proud to be part of the inaugural imX event. “It proved to be effective in reaching customers and prospects in a way that emphasized quality over quantity. With the improvements planned by AMT for the 2013 edition, we expect the event to build upon the original concepts while including a broader range of exhibitors and guests with even greater opportunities for education and personal attention. Our industry faces difficult challenges in implementing the latest manufacturing technology while also dealing with a skills gap. I believe events like imX will play an increasingly important role in addressing these challenges.”
