ModernTech Announces Partnership with the New Stratasys Ltd.

January 30, 2013 -Knoxville, TN - ModernTech, a top Objet Reseller, announced today that due to the recent merger of Stratasys and Objet, the company can now offer an even larger line of professional 3D systems.  As a direct result of the merger, ModernTech has been authorized to expand their product line of 3D Printers and Production products to include Stratasys systems in addition to the existing line of Objet
3D Printers it has been successfully offering for many years.

“The Stratasys-Objet merger is unique in that it has brought together two very complementary 3D printing technologies,” said Jon Carlton, Vice President of ModernTech.

Stratasys’ Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology allows the user to create 3D models that stand up to real world testing.  With Objet’s inkjet printing technology, the user is able to combine different 3D
printing materials within a single 3D printed model.  Combined, the two technologies span the spectrum of professional 3D printing.

“This merger positions the new Stratasys as a distinct leader in the 3D printing industry, offering a broad portfolio of 3D printing solutions to help engineers and designers bring their ideas to life right in their own
facilities.  We’re very excited to now offer our growing customer base in the Southeast such an array of solutions,” said Carlton.

ModernTech has been an Objet partner for three years and in 2011 was named the top reseller for Objet in North America. ModernTech’s partnership with Objet will continue under the new Stratasys Ltd. name.
