- Launch of FireCube and FireDay enables FireFly to offer production-to-post solution -

Paris, France – 5 September 2012 – At IBC 2012 Firefly Cinema, the specialist developer of digital cinema software tools, will launch FireCube, an on-set colour grading tool, and FireDay, a new workflow for managing digital dailies. These new innovative solutions, together with its high end colour grading solution FireCloud), enable Firefly to offer a complete end to end digital workflow from production to post-production.

Philippe Reinaudo, CEO, Firefly Cinema, said, “The need for a collaborative workflow from shoot to post has been apparent since the early days of digital cinema. Today, the artistic team of a film should be able to work simultaneously oneach part of the film. Firefly Cinema has a global vision to provide collaborative, connected tools for every step of production, from digital dailies to on-set colour management to grading.”

FireCube is a new solution for on-set color grading and real time previz. It integrates perfectly into most post-production workflows. All Firefly’s products share the same database which means that any colour grading done during the shoot will be applied automatically during the finishing of the film.

FireDay provides a brand new workflow that simplifies and optimizes the management of digital dailies. It is perfect for digital productions as it enables real-time processing of raw files, so that the rushes can be played and validated on set. FireDay also encompasses the management of audio synchronization, quality control, colour grading, back-up of metadata, multiple format conversion and much more.

FireCube and FireDay will be available for demonstration, together with Firefly’s other products, on Stand 2.A30ii.

Firefly Cinema is a French company, created in June 2010 by Philippe Reinaudo and Luc Guénard - former CTO and Head of R&D respectively at renowned Éclair Laboratories.
