Leading SoC Design Technology Conference to be held in Shanghai and Beijing in May 2012
San Jose, CA – November 28, 2011 – S2C, the organizer of the SoCIP show announced that the dates for the annual SoCIP show have been set for Shanghai, May 22, 2012 and Beijing, May 24, 2012. The annual SoCIP show has evolved into one of the leading SoC/ASIC design shows in China. The full day conference combines technical sessions and exhibitor demonstrations bringing the latest in world-wide SoC/ASIC design technology to China. Attendees can gain firsthand knowledge of the latest advances in SoC/ASIC technology by meeting directly with experts from over 15 different companies. Check www.socip.org for conference and registration information.
As in previous years, there will be half day roadshow versions of the show held in China including Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xi'an and Wuxi. These roadshows will be held in the fall of 2012.
SoCIP 2011 Recap
In October, we have just successfully held 8 half-day roadshow seminars in TianJin, Xi'an ChengDu, ShenZhen, WuXi, SuZhou, HangZhou and ChangSha. We have presented Silicon IP technology from 12 companies and focused on two SoC/ASIC Prototyping technologies from SpringSoft and S2C. SpringSoft's ProtoLink™ Probe Visualizer is an innovative prototype verification solution that dramatically increases design visibility and simplifies debug of off-the-shelf and custom-designed FPGA-based boards. S2C's rapid SoC/ASIC Prototyping solution includes FPGA-based prototyping hardware and automation software, Prototype Ready™ IP, platforms, and accessories, and system-level design verification and acceleration. There were total of 200 attendees for the roadshow seminars.
The full day SoCIP 2011 conferences in May earlier this year attracted over 300 qualified attendees at the Shanghai and Beijing venues. The show included exhibits and presentations from the following IP and EDA vendors plus support from the media sponsors:
SoCIP Web Portal
The www.socip.org website not only has information on future and past SoCIP conferences but also serves as a web portal in both English and Chinese for selected articles from industry leading sources including: SoCCentral, Gary Smith EDA, Gabe on EDA, EDA Confidential and TechBites. The 2012 version also includes videos and blogs from SoCIP partners.
The SoCIP conference is a leading SoC/ASIC design conference in China. The goal of the conference is to serve the SoC design community by providing leading edge technologies and product information that enable first pass success for SoCs and ASICs. Our vision is for a designer to rapidly assemble a SoC prototype by using commercial IP with minimal up-front cost, validate that the function is correct and then find the right Services provider to turn the prototype into real silicon – all this is done to ensure that your SoC investment will give strong returns.
The format of the show is mini trade show with technical sessions augmented with exhibitor booth demos and discussions at the breaks. In 2010, the show expanded to include 3 half day seminars in Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Xi'an, China. The 2011 show will have the 1-day Shanghai and Beijing shows and will expand to include 8 half day seminars in China and Taiwan.
The first SoCIP show was held in 2008. The show continues to grow and expand and has been held annually since then. There were over 300 attendees at the 2010 1-day events in Shanghai and Beijing.
SoCIP is organized by S2C Inc. and sponsored by leading silicon IP and SoC design technologies companies around the world.
Founded and headquartered in San Jose, California, S2C has been successfully delivering rapid SoC prototyping solutions since 2003. S2C provides:
- Rapid SoC FPGA-based prototyping hardware and automation software
- Prototype Ready™ IP, Platforms, and Accessories
- System-level design verification and acceleration
S2C's value is our singular focus on SoC/ASIC development. Our highly qualified engineering team and customer-focused sales force understands our customers' SoC development needs. S2C's unique FPGA-based solution, using our patented TAI IP technology, enables designers to quickly assemble FPGA-based SoC prototypes on S2C FPGA boards. This gives customers an early start on software development, typically the long pole item in development schedules. Combining rapid prototyping methodologies with a comprehensive portfolio of Prototype Ready IP and advanced verification and acceleration solutions, S2C solutions greatly reduces the SoC design cycle.
In addition to the headquarters in San Jose, CA, S2C currently has 4 direct offices located in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen China and HsinChu, Taiwan. S2C is also the organizer of the annual SoCIP seminar and exhibition in China, which brings SoC designers from the Asia-Pacific region together with international silicon IP and SoC solution vendors.
