Featured Paper by Avri Shenwald Within some designs we can analyze congestion problems after physical optimization. The phenomenon happens even in cases when block utilization isn’t too high (around 75%) and the total wire length looks reasonable. It can happen even in cases when Floorplan doesn’t looks too crazy. The problem do not disappear even after use of “–congestion” switches (congestion driven placement algorithms).
