This short technical note gives a comparison of the transient response for various filter bank types including Polyphase DFT, Weighted Overlap and Add (WOLA) FFT and the Pipeline Frequency Transform (PFT). It also looks at so-called ‘Minimum-Phase’ filter versions and concludes that the PFT has several advantages.
