Microcontrollers are used in a plethora of control applications from industrial electronics, to automotive industry to home appliances. While for performance hungry applications 32-bit or 64-bit RISC processors are indispensable, there is enough space for 8-bit controllers, particularly if they are tuned to deliver the price/performanece ratio. This rises the need for avalability of reusable macro of such 8-bit microcontroller with high degree of flexibility.
