Distributed hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation is a powerful technique for creating large, complex real-time integration labs. This paper discusses the major considerations taken when implementing a distributed real-time integration lab. The functionality described in this paper applies to both ADI’s RTS VME-based real-time simulation computer and ADI’s rtX PC-based real-time computer.
