PCB Tools, Part 2: Request for info
September 22nd, 2016 by Peggy Aycinena
Now it’s time to assemble Part 2 of the discussion, which will be posted here in early November. This second installment intends to include input from more than just the four companies in the first article.
There are upwards of 50 companies currently involved in providing tools and support for PCB design; getting feedback from a number of those players is the intent of the upcoming blog.
Hence, this is an invitation to be part of the discussion. The principle topics to be covered in Part 2 of PCB tools are the new materials and form factors appearing on the market. These topics, of course, also bring in discussion of the multi-board designs needed for particular types of products, and the manufacturing and field-condition issues associates with emerging materials and package-interface technologies.
If your company markets tools and/or services to the PCB industry, and would like to weigh in on any or all of these issues in my upcoming blog, please let me know.
I will be doing active research in the second half of October and would enjoy talking with you. You can contact me at peggy at aycinena dot com. I look forward to the conversation.
