Entrepreneurs: Hogan et al have your back

If you’re interested in start-ups, if you think you’ve got what it takes to plunge in and do the deed, the EDA Consortium has something you’re going to want to attend.

Starting on May 31st – that’s in about 5 weeks – EDAC will be offering a series of evening discussions about various “concepts and best practices for emerging companies.”

The series is going to be hosted by long-time EDA player, Jim Hogan. And as you all know, what Jim Hogan doesn’t know about EDA, start-ups, venture capital, and everything in between, simply isn’t worth knowing – so you’re sure to be in the best of hands with Jim moderating these meetings.

Of course, you don’t just have to be a new, up-and-coming entrepreneur to plan to benefit from the series, because EDAC says: “the content is geared to founders and executives of software, systems, and semiconductor companies, as well as others interested in getting a birds-eye view of what companies face at the various stages of success.”

Again, the first meeting in the series will be on May 31st and is titled:

Milestones to Building a Successful Technolgoy Software Company

By the way, Hogan won’t be the only industry player offering advice during the evening. Also participating in that particular discussion will be IC Manage President & CEO Dean Drako, as well as Berkeley Design Automation President & CEO Ravi Subramanian.

This knock-your-socks-off line up has been arranged by Steve Pollock, EDAC Emerging Companies Committee Chair, Georgia Marszalek, Valley PR, and Gloria Nichols, Launch Marketing, so you can thank these three plus the sponsors – EDAC, Silicon Valley Bank, and ChipEstimate.com – for what promises to be a fascinating evening.

When the next event in the series will be taking place is not clear at this writing, but stay tuned nonetheless.

With Jim Hogan in charge, it’s clear the series will be great – and may indeed prove to be the spark that ignites the flame that begins the next exciting chapter in Everything EDA.

Which will be a very good thing.
