Supporting the Community
September 5th, 2012 by Jeff Hall
EVE has been working in partnership with the high-tech community from Austin, Texas, for a number of years now. One recent example of our community outreach is the Door64 event we sponsored in mid July at the Six Lounge in downtown Austin. More than 160 members of Door64 registered to attend.
A diverse group of technology professionals stopped by, with discussions ranging from design and verification to other topics. We saw attendees from Freescale, IBM, AMD, Oracle and others. Also, there were individuals interested in employment with backgrounds in design, verification, sales and marketing.
The event included an open exchange among attendees while they enjoyed drinks and pizza. We offered a slide show presentation with an overview of our technology. At the end of the event, we held a drawing for an Apple iPad won by Gang Chen of Langcore Laboratory in Cedar Park, Texas.
Door64 is a great venue for high-tech companies, professionals and engineers to meet and network in a relaxed, entertaining environment. Attendees are potential users of our technology or they could be future employees, which is why sponsoring Door 64 is such a great opportunity for us.
According to Door 64’s website, it is community of more than 20,000 Austin and Central Texas-area technology professionals. It helps local tech professionals expand their networks during monthly Happy Hours, and helps tech companies engage the community in unique ways that benefit everyone.
EVE’s mission is to enable a new generation of high-speed affordable hardware-assisted verification. We believe this focus on hardware/software co-verification offers unique value for both SoC designers and embedded software developers, many of whom were at the Door64 event. We’ve been shipping its ZeBu SoC emulators since 2003. I’m pleased to report it is now leveraged by global leaders in wireless, networking, multi-media, graphics, computer, consumer industries and many with key development centers in Austin.
Door64 is a great opportunity for companies looking for employees and customers in the Austin high-tech market. EVE would like to thank all who attended the July event. We also send out a big thanks to Matt Genovese and Marti Swanson for inviting EVE to sponsor Door64’s most recent networking event and providing great support.
