Short Desc. : Low power successive-approximation ADC
Overview :
This IP concerns a general purpose Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) for low power applications. It is a charge redistribution successive-approximation type converter. The ADC consumes little power, since it contains only one power-efficient comparator, while no high power operational amplifiers are used. Furthermore, the power consumption is fully proportional to the samplerate, as all circuitry is dynamic and quiescent current is avoided. This property makes the ADC ideal for low duty-cycle sensor applications and other applications which benefit from a low power consumption.
