Overview :
The Snowbush Multi-Standard SERDES IP is a reliable, high-performance IP core designed to be easily integrated into ASIC, ASSP, FPGA's that utilize high-speed serial interfaces such as PCIe, SATA, XAUI, or Gigabit Ethernet. Snowbush SERDES technology has an extensive production track record of volume shipments. The SERDES includes a single, programmable PCS layer that supports industry-standard PIPE and SAPIS interfaces to easily integrate with various digital controller IP. The SERDES is designed to exceed key electrical specifications and be extremely robust over PVT variations, while consuming low power and taking up minimal die area.

- Supports single or multi-lane configurations

- Leverages automatic digital calibration to ensure reliability and maximize yields

- Excellent jitter performance due to extensive use of on-chip regulation

- CMU technology includes fractional synthesis to support spread-spectrum
- clocking and non-integer reference clock frequencies

- Extensive testability features including various loopback modes, on-chip pattern generator and checker, and on-chip eye plotting capability

- Highly programmable Transmitter and Receiver allowing excellent system performance while minimizing power consumption

- Programmable driver swing, transmit pre-emphasis, and output driver slew rate

- Programmable linear receiver equalization

- Supports various power savings modes for ultra low-power operation, including IDDQ
