Actel Corporation
Part Number : SPImodule
Overview :
The SPIMmodule is part of Inicore's IPmodule family. The serial peripheral
interface (SPI) protocol is often used to connect peripheral devices to a CPU.
Several slave devices can be connected to the same bus. Since it is a serial bus,
the pin count is low.
Features : - Standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) single master controller
- Full duplex operation
- Programmable frame length, transfer delay, ss to sck delay, slave select
- Continuous re-transfer mode
- Supports all SPI modes: configurable clock polarity and phase
- Message queue buffer
- Programmable bitrate
- Local interrupt controller
- Supports synchronous bus interfaces such as AMBA APB version 2.0
- Full synchronous design
- Synthesis Options:
- CPU readback enable
- Number of slave selects
- Message queue depth
- Supports ProASICPLUS, Axcelerator, SX-A/SX, and RTSX-S device families
- 17% Utilization in Actel's ProASICPLUS APA150 Device
- 8% Utilization in Actel's Axcelerator AX500 Device
- 43% Utilization in Actel's SX16A Device
