Overview :
4i2i's Verilog or VHDL Reed-Solomon
core is a leading edge soft IP core which
has been sold widely and is well tested in
silicon. It is suitable for just about any
application requiring block error correct-
ing codes. The core can support full-
length and shortened systematic Reed-
Solomon codes with s-bit symbols (s >
2). A number of customer options are
provided which allow this to meet the
requirements of nearly all the various
modern standards using RS error correc-
tion. The core has been demonstrated
compatible with a wide range of In-
ternational Standards including CCSDS,
DECT and xDSL.
