Faraday Technology Corp.
Part Number : FTSSP010
Overview :
Faraday’s Synchronous Serial Port (SSP) Controller is a synchronous serial port interface that allows the host processor to perform in either master or slave mode. It can connect to various kinds of devices using a serial protocol including Texas Instrument’s Synchronous Serial Port (SSP), Motorola’s Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), National Semiconductor’s Microwire, Philips’s I2S and Intel’s AC-link. Serial data length may range from 4 to 32 bits. The DMA function enables data transfer directly between the external serial device and the system memory without processor intervention.
Features : - APB 2.0 compatible
- Separate SSPCLK to ease bit-clock generation
- Full-duplex communication
- Internally generated or externally supplied serial clock
- Programmable frame / sync polarity
- Programmable serial clock polarity, phase and frequency
- Programmable serial bit sequence (MSB or LSB first)
- Programmable I2S format (includes data padding bits and justification)
- Programmable threshold of transmit / receive FIFO to generate interrupt
- Independently programmable interrupt enable / disable
- Independently configurable transmit / receive data FIFO size
- RTL selectable serial protocol interface
