Matrix Semiconductor Appoints Tom Goodrich to Board of Directors

SANTA CLARA, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Dec. 15, 2004— Matrix Semiconductor, Inc. today announced the appointment of Tom Goodrich to the Company's board of directors.

Tom Goodrich is a co-founder of Duff Ackerman & Goodrich (DAG LLC), a private equity firm formed in 1991 that is focused on the communications services, related infrastructure, media, and specialty manufacturing industries. Over the past decade, Mr. Goodrich has focused primarily on providing strategic guidance to companies in the cellular/PCS, cable television, and media industries. His other current board appointments include CallVision, Deer Creek Radio, Horizon Tower, mBlox, Motorsport Aftermarket Group, and Sagamore Hill Broadcasting.

Prior to founding DAG, Mr. Goodrich spent three years with The Fremont Group as an active investor in private companies. Before Fremont, he was a co-founder of Dimensional Credit Corporation, which pioneered the development of collateralized loan pools for non-investment grade credits.

Mr. Goodrich spent the first several years of his career as a business strategy consultant, initially at the Stanford Research Institute (now SRI International) and then as an independent consultant to the Chairman of Bank of America.
