AHS 2010 offers a great program ( http://www.see.ed.ac.uk/ahs2010/AHS2010_Programme_Preliminary.pdf) this year, with the following highlights:

- A tutorial day on 15 June with contributions from NASA JPL, Synopsys, ARM, Mimasic, Sirf Technologies/CSR, Seoul National University, University of Minnesota, Rice University, University of New Mexico, University of Connecticut, and Politecnico di Torino. The tutorials will touch on a variety of hot topics including challenges facing space flight electronics e.g. FPGAs, adaptive low power design and verification, and hardware security.

- Invited keynotes speeches from Barry Goldstein - Manager of Autonomous Systems Division, at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Gianfranco Visentin - Head of Automation and Robotics Section, ESA/ESTEC.

- Twelve exciting technical sessions including special sessions on: enabling advanced spacecraft capabilities through adaptive hardware architectures; adaptive, reconfigurable and self-aware computing; and adaptive techniques for security and trust in hardware; as well as a session on: reconfigurable computing including multi-core architectures; adaptive image and data compression; and adaptive computing and run-time reconfiguration.

- A special panel titled “Design and Optimization of Adaptive Systems” on 18 June moderated by Dr. Adrian Stoica from JPL with contributions from NASA JPL, ESA, Raytheon, EPFL, the University of South Florida, and the University of Edinburgh.
