Apache Design Solutions Selected as One of the Fastest Growing Companies in North America on Deloitte’s 2009 Technology Fast 500™

Industry Leading Power and Noise Solutions and Customer Focus Lead to 641 Percent Revenue Growth over the Past Five Years

SAN JOSE, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 21, 2009 — Apache Design Solutions, the technology leader in power and noise solutions for chip-package-system (CPS) convergence, today announced that it has been named as a Deloitte LLP prestigious Technology Fast 500™ recipient, one of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life science and clean technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth from 2004 -2008.

Apache’s revenue grew 641 percent over the past 5 years, and today the company also announced record quarter bookings and revenue for the 27th time over the past 7 years. In addition, Apache has been continuously profitable since 2004. Apache’s CEO, Andrew Yang, credits the company’s long-term success to its conservative business model, solid execution, and strong customer focus.

“Apache’s ability to deliver first-in-class and best-in-class power and noise solutions for chip-package-system convergence - very critical design challenges faced by our customers - has enabled us to achieve our steady growth,” said Andrew Yang, CEO of Apache. “We are proud to be named to Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ list as it acknowledges our success in delivering innovative technologies and consistently effective execution strategy.”

“Technology Fast 500™ recognizes innovative companies that have broken down barriers to success and defied the odds with their remarkable five-year growth,” said Phil Asmundson, Vice Chairman and U.S. Technology, Media and Telecommunications leader, Deloitte LLP. “We congratulate Apache on this accomplishment.”

“With its impressive five-year growth, Apache has earned its position among the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America,” said Mark Jensen, Managing Partner, Technology and Venture Capital Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP. “Deloitte is proud to honor Apache for its achievement.”

Technology Fast 500™ provides a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. This ranking is compiled from nominations submitted directly to the Technology Fast 500™ website, and public company database research conducted by Deloitte. Technology Fast 500™ award winners for 2009 are selected based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth during the five year period from 2004 to 2008. The list of winners can be downloaded at www.fast500.com.

Apache previously ranked in the top 15 of the Fastest Growing Software and Information Technology Companies in the Silicon Valley in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ for 2008.

In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500™ recognition, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not satisfy this requirement.
