Ponte Solutions and Nangate deliver tight DFM integration

MENLO PARK, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—January 21, 2008— Nangate, the leading provider of tools for design-specific digital cell library development, and Ponte Solutions(TM), the bridge between design and manufacturing, today announced availability of a tight product integration that will help customers deal with the impact of process variation and design for yield.

"It is becoming increasingly important to address the impact of process variability very early in the design phase and as the standard cell library is the foundation of most digital IC designs, this an obvious place to start," said Michael Buehler-Garcia, VP Marketing and Business Development at Ponte. "Nangate has unique solutions to address these issues with as little digression as possible for the designer. With their automated library creation platform using our YA System to provide automatic scoring and verification, DFM becomes just as natural a step in the physical IP verification process as running DRC/LVS."

"Integrating with a technology leader in DFM such as Ponte is an important addition to Nangate's offering," said Jesper Knudsen, VP Marketing at Nangate. Our specialty is to provide design optimization through library augmentation and with the integration of Ponte's YA System, Nangate Library Creator users are now also provided with the means to quantify, adjust and control DFM tradeoffs in an easy flow."

Nangate and Ponte will showcase the joint solution at the Electronic Design and Solutions (EDS) Fair 2008 being held January 24th and 25th in PACIFICO YOKOHAMA, Japan. Please visit the two adjoining booths #211 and 212 to receive more information about the joint solution.
