To be considered, an individual should have been responsible for the launch or management of a successful product that included contributions from women or a program that has created opportunities for women. Or, the individual could be the leader of a company or organization that helps raise the awareness of women or someone who has been a mentor or role model for successful women.
Now in its eighth year, the award is named for Marie R. Pistilli, the former organizer of the Design Automation Conference (DAC). The award is open to both men and women with technical or non-technical backgrounds in industry or academia. Information on previous award recipients is available at www.dac.com

The award is presented annually at the Workshop for Women in Design Automation (WWINDA), scheduled this year on Monday, June 4, from 9 a.m.-1:45 p.m. WWINDA is held during DAC, the EDA industry's leading event, which will take place June 4-8, 2007, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego. Registration for WWINDA and DAC will open March 23.
