Glendale, Arizona, Police Department Selects Intergraph®'s Complete Public Safety Solution

Intergraph's Public Safety solutions will enable Glendale Police Department to access real-time information and improve police response

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., March 13, 2012 — (PRNewswire) —  The Glendale, Arizona, Police Department has chosen Intergraph® to provide its computer-aided dispatch (I/CAD), Mobile for Public Safety, inPursuit Records Management System (RMS), and Field-Based Reporting software to manage its police response. The city will also implement I/NetViewer and I/NetDispatcher to enable web-based communications between dispatchers and officers in the field.

The City of Glendale Police Department receives more than 134,000 service calls per year while serving a population 226,000. Glendale employs over 450 sworn officers with 16 CAD operator positions.

The Intergraph Computer-Aided Dispatch system will allow the city to take advantage of a modern technology platform that can scale to a large number of calls and events and track incidents in a case management system.  The system will provide major improvements for dispatchers, investigators, and field personnel to help decrease response times and case resolution.

The Intergraph solution will enable Glendale Police to send information to mobile units. Officers in the field can generate reports from any location and send them back to the RMS system. The information input into the RMS system will be available in real-time and can be reported in the format desired. This function will allow the city to keep more officers in the field with the assessable information available at all times, ultimately improving response times, producing more accurate records, and reducing costs.

"When Glendale's records management system, an in-house development, reached the end of its service life after 26 years, Glendale Police sought an integrated CAD/RMS system that could interface with other criminal justice and law enforcement databases and systems," said Debi Willis, Public Safety Administrator for Glendale Police Department. "An Integrated CAD/RMS system will enable the police department to better analyze trends, link crimes from Glendale and other jurisdictions, identify offenders, make arrests, and improve both the efficiency and quality of crime reporting from officers in the field while providing enhanced customer service to our citizens and community. We look forward to our partnership with Intergraph and a successful implementation of our new CAD/RMS system."
